About Disciples Of Christ Jesus

Disciples Of Christ Jesus exists, to fulfill the great mission that the Lord Jesus gave to His apostles before He ascended up into heaven. And that is to go, become a student of Him while simultaneously teaching Him, and His ways to all groups of people who are on the face of this earth, baptizing them.

This particular ministry was founded in 2010, birthed inside of me. It came whenever it began to shake my soul as I saw the need for the church to be what she was originally designed for, and that is not to remain behind 4 walls of a building, but instead, outside of 4 walls touching the lives and shining the light of Christ upon every human being.

Most of all, living & loving out the love of Jesus Christ on a day to day basis. Finding someone, some group of people that we commit to accepting in order to teach them Jesus on a very personal level and consistent basis.

To properly teach them, we must know Him, and be known of Him, this comes through a daily commitment to prayer, a dedication to fasting, and meditation and obedience unto His word.

Disciples Of Christ Jesus also exist to not only reach, but also to keep.

Matthew 28:20 uses a different Greek word for teach than does verse 19. We believe that the teaching of verse 20 is meant for those of us who live verse 19. We to also have the responsibility to practice and teach verse 20 to the now saint of God.

To teach them to now observe (guard- keep safe from loss)( and to keep the eye upon) every thing that Jesus has commanded us to do. This is a huge responsibility, as when the Master returns He will not accept any excuses from us (Matt 25:.26).

Jesus was accountable to the Father whenever He said in John 17:12

"While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."

Upon the apostle Pauls exit from this world he said in 2 Timothy 4:7

"I have kept the faith"

Jude told us in verse 21 to "keep ourselves in the love of God"

The context of all of these passages are upon the believer exiting this world, and entering into the next world to meet God.

The Lord Jesus Christ feels very strongly about us teaching to keep the things that he has entrusted us with. And when He returns, He will have an expectation from us to not have lost anything, but instead show an investment upon what He gave to us (Matt 25). Disciples of Christ Jesus is also committed to teaching and receiving this.
